This Coral Rock called Hemmingway Dense Oolite Coral Rock exudes an exclusive old-Florida feel reminiscent of Ernest Hemingway & Key West. The islands of the Lower Keys in the Florida Keys, as well as some barrier islands east of Miami bordering Biscayne Bay, are mainly Oolite, which was formed when shallow seas covered the area. Oolite consists in part of Shell and Plant fossils, Coral, Coral sand, Quartz Sand, and fossiliferous Limestone. Hemmingway Dense Oolite is mined at the southern tip of Florida.
Hemmingway Dense Oolite is available in a wide variety of formats to suit almost any purpose Including: Flagstone, Cobble, Full & Thin Building Veneer and Strips.
